Tollywood Actor Kaikala Satyanarayana passes away at 87
Known for his work in Telugu films, Kaikala Satyanarayana is a multitalented Indian film industry professional. He represented the South Region II on the jury for the 59th Annual National Film Awards. Both the 2011 Raghupathi Venkaiah Award and the 2017 Filmfare Award for Lifetime Achievement in Telugu Cinema were presented to him.
Kaikala Satyanarayana Biography
On July 25, 1935, in the village of Kautaram in the Krishna district, Kaikala Laxmi Narayana gave birth to their son, Kaikala Satyanarayana. Originally from Vijayawada, Satyanarayana moved to Gudivada to finish his elementary and secondary schooling before transferring to Gudivada College. On April 10, 1960, he wed Nageswaramma, and they have since been showered with gifts in the form of two sons and a daughter.

Satyanarayana made it to Madras, India, for acting parts thanks to his charisma and resonant voice. DL Narayana was the first to notice him. In 1959, Narayana asked Changayya to cast him in the film Sipayi Koothuru. The movie bombed the box office, but he became an instant star. To wit: his striking likeness to NTR was a major factor in attracting the attention of the producers.

Films like Kodama Simham, Bangaru Kutumbam, Muddula Mogudu, etc., were all produced under Satyanarayana’s Rama films brand, which he founded. He first entered politics in 1996, when he was elected as a Lok Sabha representative for Machilipatnam.

In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, as well as at the federal level in India, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is a prominent regional political organization. Since its inception on March 29, 1982, the party led by N. T. Rama Rao (commonly referred to as NTR) has championed the interests of Telugu speakers. The party has been led by N. Chandrababu Naidu, NTR’s son-in-law, since 1995.
The TDP is the main opposition party in both houses of the Andhra Pradesh legislature. It has three seats in the Lok Sabha and one in the Rajya Sabha.
